Justin,
Congrats appreciated but definitely not deserved It wasn't that big a project Perhaps not quite the rage you may have hoped for, either Remember also, I did it for my HOA I just always publish anything I write for Joomla And in this case it is the least I can do to repay the benefits I get from Dada Mail You may want to read the PDF file inside the zip archive if you downloaded it You'll see it's the simplest of interfaces; everything is automated and integrated as one would probably assume it should be Community Builder's API made that very easy to do
The bigger task now is writing an archive browser for the front end, which I have well underway I found a very lean PHP email parsing class that does exactly what I need it to do And I am plagiarizing a generic table management Joomla component because its got a generic table browser that will work for this (I'm really just ripping-off the GUI) No bells and whistles, but I expect to add a search (filter) capability that will search the entire message for whatever the user enters I don't plan to implement a threaded view or anything fancy as the users of my site probably won't even use this feature that much It's mainly for myself and to cover the subscriber interface at about the same level it is covered by the Dada Mail web interface
I don't have any plans at the moment to replace any Dada Mail admin back end functions since you have that covered just fine already and it can be integrated as-is into the Joomla site using the built-in "Wrapper" (Iframe) component But there will no doubt be some back end Joomla admin functions that exploit the environment For instance, I will probably implement archive editing and message deletion like you did, but not much if any more than that There's really no point No plans to deal with blacklisted addresses either because, again, you have that covered already
Cheers, Bruce

Congratulations of the release Bruce - sorry I haven't yet tried it out personally
I've put your announcement on the Dada Mail home page to help spread the word - I see it's been approved on the Joomla Community Extensions website

I have finally finished v1 0 of the Dada Mail Subscriptions Community Builder Plug-In for the Joomla Content Management System You can download the plug-in from my website here The extension has also been submitted to the Joomla Community Extensions website and is pending approval there
Note that this is the first of two Joomla extensions I plan to write this year The next one will be a component that allows the Dada Mail archives to be browsed within a Joomla website
My purpose in writing these extensions is to provide integrated email lists to a closed community (HOA) website Since Dada Mail allows its lists to be completely closed (no public access), it works well within a website like this one
It's a simple start, but it's working quite nicely for our HOA site Thanks Justin for providing tech support and encouragement to get me going on this little project
