I swithced the pop server setting to localhost and than it can connect, but when sending manual it seems to work OK, but the messages never show up anywhere although they are removed from the pop box

I have several error messages:

Sat Sep 9 10:05:02 2006] dada_bridge pl: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: MySQL server has gone away at /home/alfsoftc/public_html/cgi-bin/dada/DADA/MailingList/Settings/baseSQL pm line 157 [Sat Sep 9 10:05:02 2006] dada_bridge pl: DBD::mysql::st fetchrow_array failed: fetch() without execute() at /home/alfsoftc/public_html/cgi-bin/dada/DADA/MailingList/Settings/baseSQL pm line 159 [Sat Sep 9 10:05:02 2006] dada_bridge pl: ALFsoft 2 11 alpha 1 warning! I checked the MySQL database, but couldn't find any empty field

Checked the rrorlogs again, apparently it suddenly can't connect to the mailserver anymore to check the inboxes and redistribute the mail I haven't changed anything in the setup

Checking mail through outlook shows several messages Trying the manual function of dadabridge and it tells me it can't connect

Any suggestions ?

No, there's no SQL2Db scripts, moving to SQL is sort of a one way route

If you can, see if your host has an actual limit on the number of connections

I'm always using the latest ;-)

Is it easy to revert back to using db or text to see if the problem lies in the MySQL setup ?

Hmm, more recent versions of dada_bridge pl have been cleaned up and only require (I think) only about one connection to your database - which is all that should be required Earlier versions would use many SQL connections I would say 3 if not more was normal for the program If you go over the connection limit, I'd say that'd cause a hang
If another program is running that uses SQL and they're running at the same time as dada_bridge pl, well, that'll do it Do you remember what version of Dada Mail you're currently using?

Justin,

Is this a fault in the configuration on my part, a flaw in the script or a bad host ?
