Re: [dadadev] Re: Apache-2 2 2 and Dada 2 10 8 Just take the -t off of the initiation routine, the messages go away It's just tripping over option strict observations

Perhaps, I should have been more specific I want to get DADA into the FSBD ports system I would like to make a port that installs DADA, along with a ' dada_files' directory, ideally under the '~/home' directory with all the proper permissions set, etc

Ahhh, I see I'm not too familiar with FBSD ports so can't help you there Even as easy as it is to install Dada, I can see the benefit of a port I wish you luck Unfortunately, I do not have a test server yet so can't help much with your efforts

By the way, what ownership are you using for the 'dada' files directory?

www

I have found that changing them to 'www' works well on my system I do not like making the ' dada_files' world readable/writable (0777) I want to investigate using ACL's when I get a few free moments

Yeah, I don't much like that setup either Fortunately not many users are on my server but it is certainly a concern

BTW, I'm all for your badgering of Justin to fix those warnings Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to bother him as much as it would bother me were this my application

William

No, its not The '-t' has nothing to do with the warning messages, at least not the ones I was referring to Furthermore, it should not be tripping over anything, anyhow Turning a blind eye to something does not correct, nor make it go away Sooner or later, it will bite you in the ass, and usually when you least expect it

In the future, please do not top post It is a real annoyance, and a sign of a newbie Furthermore, HTML is usually shunned in newsgroups Plain ASCII text is the way to go

BTW, the initiation routine as you refer to it is commonly called the 'shebang' in perl and other scripting languages
