Are you running Dada Mail with the, "-f" flag?

These errors aren't specific to Apache 2, if anything, they're
specific to the version of Perl you're running (the verbiage, anyways)

I know you like to let me know about these same types of errors every
few months and I tell you the same thing - they're warnings I've
looked at them and I'm not too concerned You can stop them from
coming up by not running Dada Mail with the, "-f" flag - which is how
Dada Mail is shipped

Actually, I have no idea what the "-f" flag is since I have never used it When I first install a new version of DADA, I instinctively insert "use warnings;" sans quotes to check for any apparent problems These new warnings never appeared before and all I updated was my version of Apache I have been using Perl 5 8 8 for some time now

While I can appreciate your point of view, correcting the errors would involve some time and effort, it might be T&E well spent I have been spending what few minutes of free time I have attempting to get somewhat familiar with Perl programming From what I have been able to glimmer from the texts that I have been reading, errors have to go through an error handling thread in Perl, which thereby slows down the program and increases its overhead It also can come back to bite you in the ass at some later point At least that is what the PERL programming book from O'Reilly claims

In any case, I just wanted your feedback on the matter I am updating my server to the new stable release of FreeBSD 6 1 this weekend along with the latest versions of MySQL Perl-5 8 8 and whatever else I find the time to include

I still want to port DADA Mail to FreeBSD but I just do not have the time to complete the venture If anyone else reading this has any experience with FreeBSD, and would like to work with me on porting this application, please contact me

Ciao
