I am very interested in DISCUSSION LIST bug free software as I paid a pro version

Well, there are others (like me) who are NOT interested in the discussion list features and also bought a pro version some time ago I am primarily interested in a reliable message distribution workhorse That is what DadaMail always stood for: Write Once Distribute to Many (appx 8000)

However, I support all features with comments and ideas, that might be interesting to others - as long as they do not reduce DadaMails capabilities of features I need - E g I will never make use of the rss feed And I do not want google and other spiders to index my mailings (because i do not like to get requests regarding outdated archived information from non-list members) Regarding archieves, it would be nice to be able to retreive past mailings to send them to selected newcomers, but not visable to spiders or human public

Another thing is backup Though being on my own (rented) server, I already experienced server outages with total loss of data So what I appreciate is the eMail-backup function (the possibility to retreive all lists eMail adresses by ftp in plain text format) Since Justin is thinking on how to improve to trace mailing execution please keep this possibility And whatever you improve keep it simple

I am currently using my own 'multiple fields' solution by maintaining all subscriber eMail Adresses in a seperate database (with selection criteria) and before i send out a mailing, I delete all list subscribers, make my own new selection, import the selection of adresses in one batch and then send out the mailing So to start this feature I would need the possibility to import (and export) a big number of subscribers in one tab-delimited text file per list (including the multiple field content)

So, despite of being not interested in the dscussion list features, I find the multiple fields feature appealing E g I could make one field the preferred language and distribute a french version of my newsletter to the preferably french speaking audience, a German to my german-speaking fellows etc That would even seduce me to buy the next pro version :-) because now I have to maintain different lists for different purposes, and different versions of those for each language

cheers, Manfred
