Good news, I think I've gotten a workaround for servers that don't
give back the correct PATH_INFO environment variable
The PATH_INFO environment variable is used in Dada Mail to use URL's
that look like this:
http://mojo
skazat
com/cgi-bin/dada/mail
cgi/list/dadadev/
Instead of:
http://mojo
skazat
com/cgi-bin/dada/mail
cgi?
flavor=list&list=dadadev
Using the PATH_INFO method makes the URL appear much cleaner and
search engine friendly
The problem is, some hosting companies, like GoDaddy execute cgi
scripts in a weird way, using some sort of wrapper script, for
security
This breaks the PATH_INFO environment variable, and thus,
many many links in Dada Mail
It also breaks most all navigation in
Dada Mail and the subscription/unsubscription process
Not good
Has
anyone experienced this problem?
I'll have a fix for this problem in the next release of Dada Mail,
along with the FCKeditor support
