The type of column for the, "raw_msg" field is set to, "text" - it seems that this type of column has a limit of 65,000 characters - which is moronic for me to have set An HTML message with a sizeable attachment will go over this

This fix is to alter the table, and have this column be of the, "MEDIUMTEXT" type - which should give you 16 million characters

I just upgraded to 2 10 and started using the database backend for users & archives and I noted inline images being broken

Instead of looking here, I investigated on my own and arrived to the same point I modified the table and it worked OK

Since the message column only holds the HTML message, 64Kb should be fine the only column that could be modified is raw_msg

Also the only thing to modify is the POD in Config pm

According to http://www postgresql org/docs/7 4/interactive/datatype-character html PostgreSQL only has one "text" data type and it should accomodate up to 1Gb strings (roughly half what a MySQL's "longtext" gives you)

I'm enclosing a patch to the public (non-cvs) 2 10 version of Config pm that does just that
