Re: improved CSS customization coming in 2.10 alpha 2

I've asked for a more in-depth description of the changes you've made to Dada Mail - rather than the one sentence I have up, and I haven't gotten that

And ironically, the fact that I didn't have that description/explanation ready to send out by bedtime is the main reason I'd held back those commits at the time :-)

Regardless, the next release will not be 2 10 stable There's time to put in changes, no problem

Thanks, this is good to know

If, in the future, because you have commit access, you would like to discuss the changes you propose before doing them, you may facilitate in coordination of features you want in and the release schedule and also get some feedback before you put in time with coding I would really appreciate discussing what it is you were going to do, to understand how you see the problem and what solution you propose is This also keeps me in tabs on what the changes in Dada Mail are doing It also may save you personally some time

Yup, apologies for not beginning all of the above previously My non-Dada Mail life has gotten increasingly busy of late, and consequently my more recent changes (and the tone of some of my comments :-( ) have been realized in shortsighted fits & spurts [ Say that fast five times!] Not good in the long term, either for me or for anyone else

Finally, I chalk this up to growing pains, so it ain't no thing

Agreed :-)

So, the very next thing on my own to-do list -- just as it was last night -- is to write & post a summary/explanation of my recent CSS & template changes And to be as thorough as possible, I'd like to do that in two separate messages: one, explaining the overall concepts, what they mean, and how they might be used; and the other, detailing more specifically how they have been used in the changes/improvements I've made since 2 9 2 (so far)

The former should bring everyone on the same page in terms of what's possible with this new structural work now in place (and can then trickle down to the fora, which I know many of you attend); and the latter will give us a basis from which to discuss where to go from here, becuase the work is finally at a point where it's robust enough for multiple hands, eyes and minds, rather than just me hammering away at it in my little corner (And both will be useful for the changelog, Justin )

So, coming soon!
