Re: improved CSS customization coming in 2.10 alpha 2

Here are a few corrections and revisions to my examples of the new, more customization-friendly markup at the bottom of: http://mojo skazat com/cgi-bin/dada/mail cgi/archive/dadadev/20050823020009/

  • Two other widgets, "root_login_message" and "help_links", could've been shown in the admin page also [After all, when they are enabled, they're global rather than screen-specific It was kind of a toss-up, really ]

  • id="Breadcrumbs" should have been shown in lowercase

  • Starting in 2 10 alpha 2, all available structural ids and classes will be listed in the default_css css file, even if they're not currently in use to style the look & feel that ships by default So looking in there in any given release will be your best way of seeing what's available to hook into with custom CSS rules "out of the box" (rather than me continually updating the above-linked markup summaries with every new alpha & beta tweak, correction, and upgrade)

P S - Despite the addition of these new selectors to the default CSS file, and my previous addition of /* ----- CATEGORY HEADERS -----/ to that file, AND the detailed commenting of all cross-browser hacks and idiosyncratic rules, "default_css css" is *still less than 1 KB larger than it was in 2 9 stable (as of this writing) So I'm adding a lot of flexibility, but I'm not creating a lot of code bloat in the process In case anyone was worried about that
