Hey, if you are saving the file name and location in the database, perhaps we can now have the option of including the attachment as a link instead of an actual attachment. Then the tracking code would be attached to it and we can track who has read the email by whether they downloaded the attachment, even if they haven’t downloaded any images. J

Subject: [dadadev] Update on "Save as Draft" Feature
Hello Everyone,
I'm happy to let everyone know I've started working on the, "Save as Draft" feature, for the "Send a Message" screen. Happy to report that a basic implementation is already in place - and working, which is great news. What's left is to simply flesh things out and make it a little more nicer.
The big block I was expecting was what to do with attachments, since selecting a file with a, "file" form widget isn't something that's easy to save state. I got around that by changing this to use KCFinder instead - you can now upload a file, or select an already existing file, the same way you choose an image to add into the message itself. Once you select a file, the file's name is just recorded in a plain text box, which is easy to save. Thought that was going to be a nightmare to implement, but it turned out to be super simple - a few lines of JavaScript.
Now, all the form widgets presented to your in the Send a Message screen are savable, and restorable, which is pretty neat.
I'll try to get a beta out, pretty soon. I'd like to release this feature in a useable state, but it's not going to have too many bells and whistles. I'll keep those for future versions, and keep the backend flexible enough to add those. Work can currently be seen at:
So soon, no more losing a message, while writing it!
Cheers,
