RESTful API/Ajax Subsription Form Example

Included with the v6 6 0 release is a, "new" experimental RESTful API - it's VERY simple, but I think it may come in handy The docs for it, are here,

along with example scripts - I would LOVE it if anyone could whip another client example up in:

  • Ruby

  • PHP

  • Python

  • (whatever)

to complement the JavaScript/jQuery and Perl examples

Dada Mail also has its own demo of it, that you can check out on your own Dada Mail, as well as the support site's:

Requests made on the form will be handled by JavaScript, and will use the RESTful API to validate the request You can see the JS that handles that in this script,

The code is in this hunk of JS:

}

You'll notice it's actually using the JSONP Interface, so that this type of form can be used, cross-domain

And of course, the form gracefully degrades, if JS is disabled
