Depends on the pricing/features, but yeah, probably so. You've already got the program in place, so it's just a matter of matching the needs of the market. MailChimp is probably your biggest competitor when it comes to this because they are the cheapest of the services out there that is easy to use, but they don't offer discussion lists. Since they offer a drag and drop template interface and an inbox inspector, that will be the area where they are offering features that Dada doesn't have. That said, I think if the price is right, there will be a market for it.You might consider setting up an affiliate program so that people will push it for you.

The biggest drawback for you will be that once people are paying you, they will expect a minimum of ISPs blocking mail from the server, which is were it's hard to get ahead of the game unless you have a large number of IPs for mailing at your disposal.
Warm regards,

Mary Ann

I bumped into my buddy from MacHighway (http://machighway.com/), today (we both live in Denver), and he opened up the idea of Dada Mail, as a service we'd host, and people would sign up for - it'd be for a monthly/yearly fee, and only include Dada Mail, at your own subdomain, something like,

mystuff.dadamails.com

(or, whatever)

Thoughts on something like this? I'm thinking (from my perspective) that it could be an easy way for people to start out on Dada Mail, and if they need more room for growth, that's when they could host themselves. Upgrading would be transparent and automatic. There would be some limitations on the account, most notably sending speeds (gotta be realistic) and most likely, I would allow subscription, without confirmation (too big of a liability).

Do y'all think there'd be enough interest in something like this, to go forward?
