Can you back up, and first try to explain what you're doing (give some context)? I don't have the clearest of ideas If you have any examples of template code you can share (and again, where it's going) that could help,
- [[ AJ ]] Sure I can My bad I was in a rush and as soon as I sent it I realized that I should have been more descriptive Basically, we manage outbound lists for a large healthcare organizations They use the lists to send out updates, notices, etc to their direct employees and affiliated practices One of the biggest concerns they have is the safety of the list They do not want just anyone being able to export it to CSV, fearing than an angry employee could go off and sell all this contact info to other organizations like pharmaceutical companies, or even give it out to patients
Currently, the customer authorizes certain people to be able to request an export of the lists Interestingly enough, none of the those people actually send out messages They are mainly administrative IT folks They send us a request, we validate the request, run a database dump, and send them the exports
I saw that could be very easily done in Da Da mail with the use of a simple template if statement in the view_list_viewport_widget tmpl At the bottom is a table cell with:
I replaced that with:
That way the widget would only show for root, i e Us
When I noticed the widget didn’t show, I started looking for other examples of the root_login if statement that I could easily identify I saw that in the admin_template tmpl, there was one that altered the title depending on who was logged in It was then I noticed that the title was no longer being updated
So, I sent the email However, I have noticed that there is an update I was tempted to apply the update, using the original templates, and see if the 'Root" re-appeared Then start re-applying my template customizations to see if, perhaps, is was the work I am doing that caused the issue
Thanks for your response,
A J
