My solution is after every update to fix the dada/DADA/App/guts pm I comment out the lines 1114 and 1115
1113 # And, uh, what do these do, again? 1114 #$message_body =~ s/\&#\d\d\d\;//g;
1115 #$message_body =~ s/\&#\d\d\d\d\;//g;
That comment in the code makes me suspect that this code may be ripe to take out permanently, but I'd like to make sure it's not useful, by writing some more tests to work it,
