I try it once in a while on Windows, although I have not tried in about a year I use ActivePerl and Apache (but not mod_perl) on Windows I generally have the most trouble with nph-* It seems that windows requires all the scripts to be renamed nph-* and last time I checked the scrpits would mostly run but there were problems in a few places with hard-coded paths Sending mailings is spotty, but may work if you set dada not to use batches

First, Dada Mail doesn't run on Windows, so that's out of the picture The problem is that mass mailings are "forked" to create a new process I don't think Windows does this very Unix-centric thing It's mostly threads over there

       http://perldoc perl org/perlfork html

Secondly, I don't really think you want to run Dada Mail on a desktop computer - access to Dada Mail to subscribe/unsubscribe could be spotty Mail sent from an IP from a cable internet or DSL is gonna be, oh, automatically black listed

For those who would like to develop Dada Mail and have a Windows PC, you may want to try use the Strawberry Perl distribution to do these types of stuff:

       http://strawberryperl com/

I don't know if the fork() call is properly faked, but everything else should work pretty well To be honest, I haven't even tried Perl-on-Windows since like 2000?

Could be an interesting pet-project for someone ;)
