Hello all -
I was very disconcerted about finally getting to the bottom of an issue that turned out to be this bug:
http://github
com/justingit/dada-mail/issues#issue/32
"Fallback Variables aren't used "
Eek!
This is a huge bug, that never, ever should have been an issue It mostly affects archived messages (not messages that get sent out in a mass mail), but it was a stupid bug to have let go There weren't any tests to check for this feature(my fault), now there are 12+, so it won't be a problem again
I hate to always bring this up, but feedback from users is vitally important to the project - this bug was first brought up by a user, on the boards:
http://dadamailproject
com/support/boards/viewtopic
php?f=7&t=1932&p=7330
and once I had time to look at it, the issue was soon resolved,
Your own feedback is most likely the most useful, since you're probably on this, "developer" list, but I don't get a super boat-load of feedback before a release goes out
Is there anything I can do, to make this an easier job for you guys/gals?
For example, I didn't get a peep about the UTF-8/unicode stuff That project was really really tough to work through and after it all, there still was some glaring issues, mostly from people with a different server environment than what I test on (which will always be finite)
I hate to have buggy releases, or bugs that go for months I also can't release fancy new features, without first dealing with bone-headed bugs
