Does Dadamail eats squared brackets? In my original posting I had written "left-bracket 1 right-bracket" in positions marked as "^" above
It does - we had this problem just a week or two ago on this very list
The problem is, the left and right brackets are used for Dada Mail's
old tagging system, which is still supported, throughout the program,
even though they template engine is now HTML::Template
http://search
cpan
org/~samtregar/HTML-Template-2
9/Template
pm
And not just a bunch of lines, searching and replacing stuff
Those
simple tags using the brackets are actually replaced by what
HTML::Template looks for, by default
The problem is, it doesn't
really take into consideration what may or may not be a tag, or just
something that looks like a template tag
The stop-gap solution I proposed was to just have a way to turn off
the old style tags
That's easy to do, but it would require changing
every template that uses those old style tags, to use the new style
tags
Not so easy to do
Well, more so, it's just a lot of work and a
lot of little mistakes could happen
I'll add this problem to the, "known issues", list
I probably can't
resolve it before the release, but I'll at least put plans in place,
to resolve it,
