|redirect| tag versus |subscriber| fields tag replacement

Ha!

Of course the DaDa developers list _is_ powered by DaDa so replaced all the tags I was discussing with links etc. J

I have used the | symbol instead of the [[ or ]] bracket symbol now so hopefully the mail now makes sense!

Hi Justin and Developers

An interesting conundrum.

It appears that the redirect function (which uses the |redirect| tag) in DaDa is called before the replacement of subscriber information function (which uses tags like |subscriber.country|).

So that if you have URLs containing information such as the segment of the database you are emailing, the redirect seems to include the in the  link _rather_ than substituting the values first, then creating the redirect.

This means that an original url that was:

http://www.myshop.com/gifts/country/|subscriber.country|

which should produce

http://www.myshop.com/gifts/country/england/

after url redirected stays as

http://www.myshop.com/gifts/country/|subscriber.country|/

Has anyone else seen this behaviour and/or worked a good work-around/fix for it?

Many thanks

Alex
