Also, I'm starting work on the two features that were voted upon by
the fundraising drive, Multiple Fields: Subscriber-Editable Fields and
Sending Mailing List Messages: Preview
YOu can read my current ideas
here:
http://github com/justingit/dada-mail/tree/c2b3cb43926789207edb3199761f880d61c2ce53/dada/extras/developers/NewFeatures txt
As noted in that file above, I'll be making at least 2 different
branches of Dada Mail, one for each of the new features and other for
anything other than bugfixes (which will go on the master branch)
I've already started to play around with a branch called,
"prototype_js_experiments"
http://github
com/justingit/dada-mail/tree/prototype_js_experiments
Where I'm extended some of the features in Dada Mail to use some
AJAX'y stuff as well as some scriptalicious animation thingies as well
as replacing some of the AJAX stuff now done via CGI::Ajax with
Prototype
What's neat is that I can easily play around with ideas and
if they don't work out, I can just throw it away - or if it does work
out, I can merge it to the master branch
What's even cooler is that anyone else can do that same thing - make a
branch and play around with stuff and we can all develop for Dada Mail
(without even asking me) and contribute and all that jazz
I do have a few little features for the 3
1 release that I can release
now as a snapshot just so everyone knows what's happening
A few
little new features to note:
* The "clone a list" idea is in place and a simple,
* Delete ALL subscribers feature is in, as well
You can actually grab a copy right now, here:
http://github
com/justingit/dada-mail/tree/master
It's a dev copy, so don't think it's production ready, but it's there
for the taking
