FYI on typical sending slowdowns by Westhost tech No action requested--just interesting info A possible partial solution could be to evenly distribute the receiving domains throughout the entire mailing list Sounds like a daunting task

Dear John,

Usually what happens when you start a mass mailing like this is you start several connections to different mail servers, but if you say have 5 yahoo addresses in a row, its gonna connect to yahoo 5 times at once and it will wait until it has finished sending to yahoo before it will open any more connections To be honest, I don't know if there is much you can do, You could make sure that other mail servers, such as yahoo knows you are going to be sending them mass mailing I would recommend you read this question I found on Stackoverflow com http://stackoverflow com/questions/162149/avoid-being-blocked-by-web-mail-companies-for-massbulk-emailing

It explains a lot of information there, but basically you can go to these different mail providers and they usually have a procedure for letting them know you are going to be sending mass mailings out so it will go a lot smoother I don't have any of those links but if you do a bit of searching they shouldn't be too hard to find

Best regards, Technical Support Representative WestHost
