Re: Dada Mail 3.0 beta 1 on Bluehost

My first Dada Mail installation was in a CPanel X environment It was a snap My host provides SSH access, which definitely makes life easier for testing to see which method of invoking dada_bridge works before committing it to a cron tab

Many CPanel installs also use "Fantastico", which might be the "super thingy" you referred to earlier The guys at this hosting company are the ones who told me about Dada Mail in the first place, but they don't have a preconfigured Fantastico installer for it Fantastico installs an array of various open source packages I am sure if someone could figure out how to make Dada Mail install easily in that environment, I could probably get them to add it to their list (since they seem to already like it)

The guys at SimpleScripts got 3 0 working on their deployment super thingy about 5 seconds after I told them it's available :) It installs Dada Mail in the advanced installation way, outside config file, SQL backend and everything Kinda cool If you want to play around with 3 0, that's a pretty easy way to do so

Bluehost also gave me about 3 test accounts, complete with domain names for testing purposes, which I thought was very nice of them

And, as a little Dada Mail-fu - Dada Mail should install pretty easily on any Cpanel-based hosting account - just upload the dada directory from the distribution, chmod the mail cgi script to, "755" and visit it in the browser Click the, "Click Here" link it'll give you and it should have an option to set up Dada Mail for you No Config pm editing, no directory creating and no outside config file to write Not really a installer, but pretty close
