Try your test again and see if anything gets written to that file (If
you haven't explicitly set $TMP, it's in the same place as, $FILES) If
it does, see if there's an mime entity for that image
I had to explicitly set that to '>> /tmp/mail txt' to get it to work (I wonder if the missing space between redirect and directory caused the problem)
Once I got it to output to a file, I found that the messages being created did not have the image information attached I've attached the output of a test that attempted to send the following page --

Maybe I have a configuration problem BTW, I did upgrade to 2 10 16 just to be sure that it wasn't a version issue
