IIRC, 2 10 0 didn't do this (or is/was it a configuration setting?)
I see two pros and two cons to this approach: pros) 1) You can "fix" the message and re-use the same copy again and again for a slight performance increase (this is in fact not valid if you change the "To:" address in each message) 2) You know to which message you are referring to if you speak about the message sent at 8:37 AM yesterday, for instance
cons) 1) If the receiver has its INBOX organized by date sent (as is my case) he may miss a recently arrived message 'cause it's "below" a few already read messages 2) After a couple of hours or more, some antispam engines start acting suspiciously on the messages (e g stock SpamAssassin will add somewhere between 1 3 and 3 points after three hours)
I'll look and see if the date is applied to the copy of the message
and isn't touched while the sending process is going
Sounds like a
reasonable suspect
It would be easy to do - just zap that Date:
field somewhere
I think my opinion would be to have that Date: field be correct for
the time the message is sent, and not uniform
Any other ops?
