Has anyone had any good luck just setting the SMTP server to: localhost and no other settings, including authentication? It looks like, in some instances, that's all you have to do to get SMTP working Neat

I absolutely agree to Justin, further I see no advantage in setting smtp to localhost, since that would add the mail host name to the messages instead of the virtual host name of the dada-hosting vhost Since under such circumstances the reverse DNS does not match the senders domain name, some major ISP would reject mails sent through this setup

In short: take the time to write mail domain com into the smtp field its just a few letters more :-) that won't cost an arm and a leg
