email-program print samples requested

One of the things on my to-do/wishlist for Dada Mail version 2 11 is a print stylesheet for the program's archive pages I thought I should at least start that process in motion sooner rather than later (And, hey, if it gets finished before version 2 11, all the better!)

To this end, I'd like to gather together samples of how other email programs style their "print versions" of messages, simply so I/we can see how others have solved the problem There might be some interesting-cool ideas out there and for that matter, there's no need to reinvent the wheel as far as general practices are concerned

Here's where I could use some help:

Please check out the (filenames of the) print samples I've already uploaded to: http://a-ok net/dadadev/print/ If a platform/email-program combination that you use (or have access to) is missing, and you have the ability to make PDFs, I'd appreciate if you could:

1) print out this message (or a forwarded copy of it) as a PDF, using that platform/program combo;

2) give the PDF a name that describes where it came from [e g : "Win-OutlookExpress6 pdf", "Gmail pdf", etc ]; and

3) send it directly to me at shaneclintberg@telus net (no need to add extra noise to the dev list)

I'll add any new samples I get to the open directory at: http://a-ok net/dadadev/print/ as they come in (N B : Please don't fret if I'm a little slow doing this; I'll be doing some heavy multi-tasking over the next 24 hours!)

Of course, you're welcome to have a closer look at any/all of the samples at http://a-ok net/dadadev/print/ if you're interested and if you'd like to help out with the next steps (namely, deciding what to do for Dada Mail, creating one or two page mockups, and then writing the stylesheets to match) I'd be quite open to working collaboratively on this Feel free to let me know

Thanks in advance, guys!

P S - A tech note: I've set my robots txt file to disallow any spidering of the above directory, so the email addresses in the PDF files uploaded there should be safe from spam harvesters But if you're worried [and have access to Acrobat, or something like it], feel free to replace any email addresses in your PDFs with dummy ones instead The point of gathering these samples is to see the structure and "look" of how different email/webmail clients handle printing -- not to collect specific message content
