dada_bridge.pl still not working correctly

Hello Justin,

I posted an excerpt of this on the DADA forum, but I think it is better handled here

First of all, you are aware that I was having a problem with the Discussion portion of DADA sending emails that were bouncing due to improper formatting I fixed that problem by having the program that sends the program for the dada_bridge pl to handle with encoding set to none The message is sent as raw text DADA does not seem to add any encoding to the message or indicate anything in the email headers; however, the messages have stopped bouncing, so that is a good thing Why it was happening in the first place is something we still have to determine

The bad news is the DADA is not deleting the messages off the server I used the "-check_deletions" flag, but to no avail

I am wondering how DADA goes about deleting messages of the server I use QPOPPER on my system I set up my regular MUA to download the message and subsequently delete it off the server this morning after DADA had failed to do so I turned on the logging function in the program so that I could see what was happening; this is the output of that successful download and message deletion

+OK Qpopper (version 4 0 8) at seibercom net starting 29357.1128257998@PROTECTED [ISafe POP3 Proxy] USER bud +OK Password required for bud PASS +OK bud has 1 visible message (0 hidden) in 821216 octets STAT +OK 1 821216 LIST +OK 1 visible messages (821216 octets) 1 821216 UIDL +OK uidl command accepted 1 $!'#!VDa!!e7:!!b3W"! RETR 1 +OK 821216 octets DELE 1 +OK Message 1 has been deleted QUIT +OK Pop server at seibercom net signing off

Does DADA use a similar syntax in its operation? I would really like to help you solve this problem since it appears that I am not the only one suffering from it I can give you access to my server if need be so that you can experiment Just do not break anything :
