Because so few people at the moment choose to "embed" Dada Mail as http://www skazat com/cgi-bin/dada/mail cgi does,

What are you figures? :)

and because those that do are undoubtedly already aware of the potenital for stylesheet
conflicts

There's a lot of people plugging away on Frontpage, believe you me

and, presumably, know how to resolve them, going any further in this
respect before 2 10 0 stable isn't mission-critical

This has been a feature in Dada Mail for five years I do find it
important and would like to make this as easy as possible for people
to work with It worked well in the past and I'd like to make it work
as best as we can get it to work now What we have today is an good
improvement over the 2 9 series, but to say it's not important is not
correct I do understand that when relying on more and more css for
styling and positioning, more and more of these issues are going to
come up

When shipping a program like Dada Mail that will be installed in
many different environments, all of which we don't control, you
always have to lean towards being defensive and preventative in what
you do There are techniques that are supposed to work and then
there's what really works It makes ideals look a little like wishful
thinking and makes the job of creating one of these buggers much
harder than it has to be It's why I call myself a hacker, rather
than a software engineer, if I call anything I'm doing in Dada Mail
with a title :)
