Not getting paid and working on this should at the very least be fun and educational

And it has been, without qualification It's been a great experience throughout, I have no complaints whatsoever, and I'd recommend Justin's even-handed approach to things here to anyone who's even the least bit interested in becoming further involved

My own approach, however, could still use some work With the clarity of hindsight, the bump in the road earlier in the past week was me seeing the roll-up to beta, assuming from some of Justin's earlier comments that meant a code freeze and -- instead of checking with him to confirm or allay this concern -- simply panicking and suggesting testers grab those few few "last-minute" additions I'd been working on as well

I appreciate Alfred and any others who did so but in the big picture, any suggestion like that outside of an official release is exceptionally bad form, because there should never be two different versions being tested at once, and it can pretty easily cause some bad blood as well I'm glad Justin chose to be as tolerant as he did of the wrench I threw into things, but that wrench shouldn't have gotten in there the first place, and, seeing as I still haven't yet said so in as many words: I apologize for that, guys

As we've since discussed on this list, I'll make sure to communicate better about where I'm at, so Justin has the info he needs to coordinate things In the meantime: seriously, J, you can stop trying to butter me up now! Alright? Not only is it /particularly/ embarrassing under the circumstances described above but it's also quite undeserved (For those of you who haven't yet gathered: despite my CVS access, I'm certainly no Perl guru -- I'm very much the opposite, in fact -- so, apart from the CSS tinkering I've been doing, any and all credit and kudos for the heavy lifting around this place should be directed to Justin himself, or extended to folks like Frans who are finding, testing, and solving things that I barely even understand the meaning of )

And finally, to try and bring this back to the topic of Dada Mail development:

I'm just finishing up "part 2" of whatever-the-hell-part-one-was-called, and in that next email of mine (which I hope to have sent later tonight) I'll be describing one as-yet-unfixed bug that I'd like your opinions on because I have two available fixes for it, and I'd like to know which fix you prefer (Trust me, this question will make sense when you see it )

And after that "last" bug is squashed, I'm considering my CSS work on 2 10 0 complete (new bug discoveries notwithstanding, of course), and will welcome the roll-up to rc1/beta2/whatever-it's-called whenever you think is best, Justin I'll be sure to add any "leftover" ideas and concerns I have to the roadmap for 2 11 while they're fresh in my head, so they don't get forgotten
