I agree that it would be nice to support cutting edge technologies and degrade gracefully too I appreciate that Gmail and Google maps do this I use Konqueror whenever I can now, and Google doesn't fully support it for those apps, but it still works to some degree in a coherent way, which I appreciate
Just supporting the lowest common demoninator would be no fun
