New Alpha Version Coming Soon, Request For Feedback
OK,
I've been promising at least Shane an alpha version for all of us to
work with (and be on the same page) for quite a while, and I may in
fact be able to go to something like that tonight
Every summer I
seem to want to hold hands with pretty girls and walk mindlessly in
parks more than I want to stare at my Powerbook all day
Regardless :), I wanted to give people some fair warning before I
bundle basically what's in CVS now + a few tweaks and produce a
working alpha which will be very much incomplete, but will be
something that we can all test and break
I'm going to have a fairly
large TO-DO list for the next official release, plus a sketchy idea
on what's going to be in the next 2 or so version - a Roadmap,
basically
It's something I haven't given before, but with the
interest in the project at the moment, it could help to move things
along and get people who are interested in helping out to help out in
their strengths;
If you have any ideas / roadblocks in the current code that you'd
like to be cleared / undocumented bugs / etc - nows a really good
time to let them be known
I'd like this alpha time period to be relatively small with a larger
beta code freeze and a very very strong release, with surprises
that'll outline in the roadmap/TODO, which I'll hopefully get to
tonight
