I actually use "email" in my own life/work My reasons for putting "e-mail" as my first choice were:
(A) because Justin seems to prefer it [if the majority spelling in the program right now is any indication]; and (B) becuase when I went to the Wiktionary, the first thing I saw was this redirect page: http://en wiktionary org/wiki/email
The counter-arguments are: (A) who cares how things are now, if there's a better way [see also: "blacklist"] - after all, this is proofreading; and (B) a closer read of the Wiktionary actually argues a slight preference for the unhyphenated form (and suggests that the redirect above is simply a historical legacy): http://en wiktionary org/wiki/e-mail#e-mail_vs _email
I'd like to change my vote :-)
