The focus of this release has been to counter the ill effects of email SPAM "Out of the box", Dada Mail 2 8 13 should be compliant with the US CAN-SPAM law We are more concerned that people receive legitimate mailing list messages using Dada Mail than we are with people sending SPAM using Dada Mail (we've always been against that)

Since SPAM is such a large problem, methods invoked to stop it have troubled legitimate email lists, by mistakenly blocking mailing list messages from double opt-in mailing lists We've decided the best thing to do is to make conforming to the US CAN-SPAM law as easy as possible for list owners and have them focus more on actually authoring messags to be sent Conforming to the US CAN-SPAM law should help prevent these "false positive" reports from anti-spam software such as, SpamAssassin (which we simply love for our own inboxes)

Dada Mail 2 8 13 is also the first version of Dada Mail to support the The Habeas Warrant Mark, a special set of email headers that mark an mailing list message as legitimate You'll need a license to use these headers for your mailing list, available from Habeas itself Misuse of these headers, as some Spammers have found out, has lead to court dates, large fines and jail time
