Hi,
I've been used dadamail for over 5 or 6 years and recently ran into this issue where the script would not load. I have since moved to a new server but the error continues... the solutions that come up using search do not help. I've virtually tried everything but nothing seems to be helping. This is the error:
Software error:
Died at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/base.pm line 85.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /DADA/MailingList/Subscribers.pm line 12.
Compilation failed in require at /home/USER/public_html/cgi-bin/dada2/mail.cgi line 149.

Please help! I don't know how or why it went from working to not working at all.

You may also want to try to run the perldiver script:
Installation just needs you to upload the script (save what's posted above as, "perldiver.cgi") into your cgi-bin and change its permission to, "755"
it should like what CPAN modules you have. For Dada Mail, you'll need to have one of the following:
DB_File
GDBM_File
if you have a really really old version of Dada Mail, this may work, too:
ODBM_File
If one of those isn't working, you'll have to run Dada Mail using the SQL backend.
