Hi after much screwing around tried to get things going again but get this error. Not sure what I did but can you point me to where I can quick fix so I don't have to reinstall since I have changed a bunch of the instructions. TIA

More information about this error may be available in the server error log and/or program error log.

Hmm, not sure. Changes you made in the Config.pm, perhaps? If so, I would do a diff with your Config.pm file and one direct from the distro.

I'm getting some of this today. This install has been running for a year with no problems. After 4 months of running on its own, I was getting ready to send out an email. I got "param" errors and a suggestion I back up & restore, which I did. The system is still giving out errors, but now on a different line. It will not let me past the password page.

I get:

"param" on an undefined value at DADA/App/Session.pm line 419

Any ideas? I did back up the list, in case I have to reinstall, but I'm not even sure of that at this point.

Thanks
Jack

Jack, next time, start a new thread, for a new topic. What version exactly are you currently using and what backend are you also using (Default, SQL)

Will do... sorry.

I bought the Pro Dada 4evr package last May (guess it hasn't been quite a year). Default backend.

After I got it running it was never a problem, until today.

Thanks.

I'm getting a Program Error (Server Error 500) too so I thought it appropriate that I play my question in this tread.

I've been using Dada 4.9.1 mail for the past year without any problems but when I went to log in recently I get:

Program Error (Server Error 500)

More information about this error may be available in the server error log and/or program error log.

Undefined subroutine &Params::Validate::validate called at /DADA/App/Guts.pm line 635, <CONFIG> line 1.

I haven't changed anything or even used the mail-out facility for weeks so I'm wondering - have I been hacked? - and how can I fix it?

Regards,
Simon

Next time, start a new thread, after (trying) to do a search, because you're problem is coming up quite a bit -
Undefined subroutine &Params::Validate::validate called at /DADA/App/Guts.pm line 635, <CONFIG> line 1.

Anyways, upgrade to 5.0.1, or rename/remove this directory (and let me know how that works for you)

dada/DADA/perllib/Params

Your problem seems to be happening to half of the users of Dada Mail.

And no, you haven't been hacked.

Thanks for the response.

I changed dada/DADA/perllib/Params to dada/DADA/perllib/Params1 and now it seems to be working fine again. Easy when you know how :)

I thought about upgrading to dada5 but am concerned about loosing data and settings - the old saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it" playing in my mind.

Cheers, Simon
