Fckeditor - Image won't show

Postby RebeccaD » Fri Feb 17, 2012 4:37 am

Hi. Just successfully installed fckeditor after following Justin's wonderful YouTube video. Thank you. I have full editor in HTML messages and can upload/browse images, but when I load them into a message I just get an icon as below. Is this a browser problem i.e. suitable plugin not installed (Sea Monkey v2.7.1) or something else?

One other question about the Image Properties box. What is the default text that appears in the preview window and what happens to it? Can it be deleted?

When you click (double-click?) on the image, what's the URL that pops up in the dialog box? Does it look correct? Usually when this happens, it's because I forget the final, "/" in the $Config['UserFilesPath'] variable in the config.php file of FCKeditor

The, Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, that's just stand-in text, I think so you can see how the image flows around the text. Doing a quick search in FCKeditor, it's in the,

fckeditor/editor/dialog/fck_image/fck_image_preview.html

file. Probably just edit that file?

Thanks for the feedback Justin. URL is fine but I checked config.php even though I knew I had taken in your stress on not forgetting trailing backslash. Found I was correct but discovered a typo in $Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'], fbkupload instead of fckupload, which has fixed the problem. More haste less speed!!
