Tracker Plugin - Clickthroughs by Country

Postby dadaman » Sat Dec 03, 2011 9:30 am

Hi,

I just enabled the Tracker Plugin. I don't have Clickthroughs/Opens by Country as shown in the screen cast. Has this feature been replaced by Clickthroughs/Opens Over Time? Is there any way to get the Clickthroughs/Opens by Country running?

Thanks!

Did you install Dada Mail, with the SQL backend?

One notable difference between the PlainText and SQL backends is that no IP address data is saved in the PlainText backend.

(The IP Address is used to figure out country stuff)

Bonjour Justin, merci pour ta réponse.

Good question. I have limited knowledge in programming and don't really know the answer. I upgraded from 4.3.0 to 4.8.4 and enabled the Tracker plugin for the first time. I have a Contemporary Install. Here are some of the details:

Configuration Variables

$PROGRAM_CONFIG_FILE_DIR
auto

$PROGRAM_ERROR_LOG
/home/myaccount/.dada_files/.logs/errors.txt

I have a .dada_config file and a dada/DADA/Config.pm file. I don't really know the difference between the two. I have been configuring the dada/DADA/Config.pm file.

The package uses a MySQL database.

I thought the tracking of Clickthroughs by Country would come automatically with the pluging. I may have to live without it if it gets too complicated to enable.

If you did the upgrade, and you don't remember plugging in any MySQL login info, I want to think that you're simply running the default backend.

I would think so. I have been running the same SQL database since the first Dada Mail install.
