Sending error using dada_bridge

I am using Dada 5.0.3 with an SQL backend. I am using dada_bridge for a discussion list. It has been working fine and then suddenly would not send emails anymore. I had not made any changes on the server and the webhost maintains they have not made any changes either. I have received the following in the error log repeated for every email Dada has tried to send since (I have inserted asterisks to hide personal information).

sendmail: Not running with correct effective GID. Is sendmail binary setgid mailtrap?

I even tried reinstalling Dada from scratch and it still sent back the same error. Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong? Thanks.

Most certainly looks like a major problem with sendmail, not Dada Mail and that's what you need to show your host. What's it mean? Got no clue.
