Bob,

The "From" address cannot be the original sender's address because of DMARC. Many email providers will reject your mailing list emails if they contain the original sender's address in the "From" field.

As you can see on this discussion list though, the sender's name and email address are shown in the "Name" portion of the "From" header.
For example, your message says "From: Bob [W7REJ] bob@PROTECTED [Dada Mail Developers] <dadadev@PROTECTED>". That's really the best you are going to get.

You can find this setting in the "Bridge" plugin settings under "Discussion List Options". Look for "From: header phrase:". The default (which this list seems to use) is:
[]

Also visible in the template of this discussion list is the "From" line at the top of the message body which has your email address in it.
I'm not sure offhand which template tags that uses though.

Moshe

From: bob@PROTECTED Hello,

I have set up a discussion list for a group of emergency services ham radio volunteers.

When I post an email to the list, the distributed copies have the list address in the from and to fields of the email. I know that replies work correctly but the fact that the sender's email does not appear in the from field is confusing some folks.

Is there a way to make the distributed emails show the sender's address in the email? also, is there a way to show the recipient's email in the To: field for each recipient?

If these can't be set, is there some code (similar to <!-- tmpl_var subscriber.email -->) I can plug into the HTML, at the top of the message body that show's who the message comes from?

Thanks.
