Justin et al,

I’m having a really frustrating problem of certain messages that have an attachments such as an image (jpg, png), pdf, docx content getting stripped out of any messages sent to the list (using bridge).

I trying to ascertain if we have a misconfiguration within DADA or if our mail server (Proofpoint/Exchange 2010).

I’m leaning more towards something in DadaMail because my PHPList server (running on the same machine) doesn’t have this problem it does however use PHPMailer.

Would this be a MTA issue? I’m confused and users are miffed as the list isn’t working.

My Settings in Dada 9.6.1

Default Char set is = UTF-8

Default Plain Text Message Encoding = 7 bit

Default HTML Message Encoding = 7 bit

Messages with an attachment are received with:

This is a multi-part message in MIME format...

------------=_1485537305-45696-0—

And that’s it… a blank message with no other error codes etc.

I’ve attached the sources of two files:

what DADA received (message from the mbox (margaret-message-truncated.txt).

the source of the received message. (margaret-mssg-rcvd.txt) showing that everything south of the attachment is missing (I also had to chop out some of the file to fit under the size restriction of your mail server).

Any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated.

Regards

Eric
