This release focuses on one issue with the, "Update Subscriptions" extension which wasn't working correctly under 2.10.

This release is purely a maintenence release and contains bug fixes for issues found with version 2.10 of the program.

Manage Copy -> Email Messages - Made changes so you can hit the big read button to revert all your email messages to the default.

The SQL tables for the archives have changed - there is now a different one for MySQL and Postgres. More details in, ``NOTES''

New Magicbook Revision out

A new revision of the Magicbook is available. This revision includes new versions of the plugins/extensions that work with the new Dada Mail 2.10 release. No text in the book has been changed. Of note, the dada_digest.pl script has been reintroduced into the program and the clickthrough tracker now supports the tracking of message opens, bounces and takes count of how many subscribers were on your list every time you send a message out.

Dada Mail Magic Book Update 12/7/03

First and foremost, if you haven't heard yet, Mojo Mail has been retitled, Dada Mail for legal reasons; here's the details:

With that change, comes a revised copy of the Magic Book. This revision contains changes to the copy and images with regards to the name change.

It also contains a new chapter entitled, "Mail Problems" and covers how to stop a mailing list message from continuing on out.

This update also features Beatitude .4, which fixes a small bug in regards to repeated schedules.

This update also includes a tweak to the layout styles. A revision of the book was actually released last week without an announcement and a few layout bugs cropped up. This current revision should alleviate those problems. If they do persist, please let me know. A short term fix would be to use the Mozilla browser when viewing the book. Mozilla can be downloaded for free here:

I personally use Mozilla as my primary browser.

This revision features a new plugin that's only available with the Magic Book:

:: Beatitude - Scheduled Message Mailer ::

Beatitude is a plugin for Mojo Mail that allows you to compose email messages to be scheduled for sending in the future.

Highly configurable, messages themselves can be in PlainText, HTML or multipart/alternative and have an unlimited number of attachments. The message itself can be composed in the plugin itself, fetched from a file or from a webpage.

The schedules themselves can be anywhere from one minute to years into the future and can be repeated infinitely. Schedules also have many safegaurds to help send only new content; for example: if a scheduled mailing is created to send the contents of a URL once a day, it will only send that URL if the contents are different from the previous day.
