Dada Mail Getting Bumfuzzled

Once again, a daily mailing stopped dead and had to be restarted. This is a semi-regular occurrence and it is putting me in a bad position with the suits. The typical problem is that it looses count of how many messages it has sent.

Per the attached logs, the program gets hung up, then confused about how many messages it has sent:

mass mailing is reporting that it should be restarted from PID:23324

Mass Mailing Starting:

<commands>

4 messages sent

Warning: $mass_mailing_count: 1872 is not the same as  $new_count: 1875

1 message sent

Warning: $mass_mailing_count: 1875 is not the same as  $new_count: 1876

At that point, it just stops until it is restarted a couple of hours later, when it then runs fine until completion.

There is nothing out of the ordinary in the system.log for the server. If there is a network problem, that is beyond my reach to check. But this is getting frustrating (especially since I can't explain why the mail is slow to get out) and is making the folks above me quite unhappy.

This is Pro Dada version 9.2.0 Stable 03/23/16 running on a Mac Pro with os x 10.10.5.

Any thoughts or solutions would be appreciated.
